I had no idea about this. This makes a lot of sense because I did notice his voice being different after SBTH
Going to target in like an hour to see what vinyls they have. Hopefully they have the one with the insano character on it.
The vinyl is him with sunglasses on
I was wrong. This isnāt bad at all, Cudi rapping his ass off on this for the most part
the Ace of Base interpolation is real nice
I just peeped this lmaooo thatās fire
His best album
Top 3 for me
MOTM 2
MOTM
PPDS
But PPDS is a really phenomenal album, itās also EASILY his best produced album imo

Ya definitely looks like it. I went to both targets in my area and they didnāt have any tho. Also went to my local record store and still nothing. Iāll go check Barnes and nobles later on today to see if they have any in stock.

Ya def donāt want that one. Iām looking for the og cover or the insano character one.
Blue Sky
Classic Cudi.
Sounds like MOTM
Cudi's always been about not having a style though. Every album from motm-now sounds different for the most part in their own ways. A Kid Named Cudi, Man On The Moon 1&2, WZRD, Indicud, Satellite Flight, Speedin Bullet, Passion Pain, Kids See Ghost, MOTM3, Entergalactic and now Insano. What is his "style" that you think he should be doing?
I just don't get people that try to box artist in at all. Especially Cudi who's displayed throughout his whole career and taken pride in trying different styles. Some of the best albums to ever come out wouldn't be possible with that kind of train of thinking
By his āstyleā, I mean more of that singing/sing-rap stuff he does on basically every other album. Electrowavebaby, funky wizard smoke, and blue sky are perfect modern examples of what I mean. Instrumentally, do what you want, be creative. But arguably, Cudi just sounds better when heās not trying to sound āhardā idk how else to put it. A lot of these songs have verses with unintelligible lyrics because heās jumbling words together
I can see myself enjoying this album more & more but yeah I feel like I want something soon after this thatās different cause Iām not sure what kind of legs an album like this from Cudi has for me
Interested in the deluxe tracks tho
The "I had no expectations and was pleasantly surprised"-crowd led me astray.
Intro and Blue Sky are awesome though
I canāt stop listening. Too much replay value

Ay I respect that opinion. Personally I enjoy hearing Cudi do something completely different then he's ever done. Dj drama gives me a ton of nostalgia. I think the production is insane and for the most part his rapping is on point. Yeah here and there you could say he's "trying to hard" but he had to take that approach making something like this. Also I feel like he's doing enough of the sing songy stuff that he can get away making an album like this. If anything it's making up for the lack of rapping he's done over the years.
Either way I respect your opinion and understand not everyone's going to feel this s***

Whatās wrong with switching the approach for once after giving us that style for 9 albums? Ima be honest, the songs you named kinda killed the pacing of this album to me (really just electrowave baby and blue sky, I like blue sky tho). Had me genuinely like ācome on bro, you was doing well, just keep going. You on some new s***.ā I much preferred the new approach he decided to take on a majority of the album and this s*** had me smiling more than any other album in a while.
