I think this is a 9/10

There’s a good mix of fresh ideas and reaching back in time and bringing that original sound into it. My favorite part about Cudi’s rapping is his flows and confidence. There’s a theme of braggadocio and saying f*** you to his haters with only a thin slice of this tracklist being more personal: Tortured and X & Cud which are great songs nonetheless.

The other thin slice on this album that makes this a 9/10 for me is just a couple songs that sound less inspired than the rest like A Tale Of A Knight and Seven. After over a dozen listens to the album I can say those two songs just don’t hit as much as the rest. I can listen to them all the way thru no problem but I think they are missing some pizazz and although I’m not tapped in with leaks and stuff I’m sure there were some cooler songs that didn’t make the cut but were more deserved so hopefully this deluxe comes thru.
