The hooks are 10x better here than on Indicud. He was more focused on his own production than making earworms in that era

It’s not without flaws but it feels truly like a piece of Cudi’s passion through and through. Can’t not love the atmosphere he built on that project

I agree but Unfuckwittable, Just What I Am, King Wizard, Immortal and Cold Blooded are still catchy as hell

Did you ever give it much of a chance? I'll be honest when I first heard it I didn't know how I felt about it. I was blasted in an edible tho and was super high. Gave it a few more spins and played it non stop back in the day. Luke kind of highlighted the rapping standout tracks. I defintiely reccomend giving it another shot. Burn Baby Burn and Cold Blooded is the kind of rapping energy he went with for the new album but with more of the modern rapping store

Cudi needs assistant producers, it’s just a fact. The production on INSANO blows Indicud’s out of the way. And on INSANO, Cudi sounds way more confident & his rapping is much better on this album.

Indicud had a lot of sing songs on it & the choruses repeated wayyy too many times

INSANO is 90% him rapping his f***ing ass off.

I loved a few Indicud songs like Burn Baby Burn, Just What I Am, and Brothers

But this project has s*** like Tortured, Blue Sky, Funky Wizard. Truly top tier Cudi songs imo

I definitely agree the production was a weak point on that album but cudi was dropping bars on that whole album. I’d argue from a purely technical standpoint it’s his most lyrically impressive performance. It’s just overshadowed by the production not being up to par with the rest of his catalog. The songwriting is A1 tho. I always have a lot of love for that project.

That being said afterwards is f***ing awful. Definitely one of cudis worst songs lol.
