Jan 8, 2024Ā·1 replyopiumikuyes it does, its part of the experience for a lot of ppl. i didnāt mean big as in chart topping i meant big as in a top tier cudi song (ie. just what i am). a single is supposed to set the stage and tone for the album, tyler does an excellent job of this and kanye. iāve been a fan longer than anyone here guaranteed heās still one of my fav artists im just disappointed by the way he handled it, but im still cautiously optimistic and always excited for new cudi regardless
It doesnāt really matter no, some of the best projects have little to no rollout for them. PPDS had a lackluster rollout and is one of the strongest cudi projects. He announced motm3 just a month before it released as well. I highly doubt youāve been listening to him that long if you think this is surprising or noteworthy.

Also Kanye rollouts are a complete mess these days. I donāt really pay attention to Tyler so idk about him.

i didnāt say rollout = quality music, it just adds to the overall experience and gives listeners more assurance that they actually give a s***. been known cudi has mid rollouts, its just odd since he has more concept driven albums that would benefit from it and heās a āworld buildingā type of artist

Sure but this album is probably the least likely to get that treatment from cudi since itās basically a glorified mixtape from him. Thatās why drama was hosting the leak. Thereās no real concept here, itās just fun and less serious cudi songs.
