Eventually these remakes are gonna fizzle out. Since it already started with Last Of Us part 1

so don't buy the game.

literally doesn't matter. market in general is about what the consumer will buy, not what they want or need.

remakes will always be a thing so long as there's enough nostalgia, demand and ppl think they can make a profit with it.

The reason some people are unsatisfied about this is because it's time and resources that could've been dedicated towards new experiences. Yes, it would take more of those resources to create that. But why waste them on this at all when the game they're remaking isn't that dated? And I'm saying this as someone who never played the OG Dead Space, so I'm exactly the type of person who would find the most value out of this. Even RE4 is pushing it imo but that makes a bit more sense because at least that was PS2 and GameCube. Those screenshots on the last page look gorgeous but yall have to see how ridiculous it is for them to be doing this instead of just a BC version with slight updates. They could gauge interest in a potential sequel without doing all of this

Imagine instead of making GTA 6, Rockstar were focused only on completely remaking GTA 4 instead. Imagine we were getting Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, MGS 4 remakes. Not remasters, remakes. Arkham Asylum, Uncharted 2, Dragon Age, AC2 remakes in 2024. S*** is lazy

And before you talk about games like Final Fantasy 7 remake just think about how graphics have advanced in those time periods compared to now. 1997 to 2020 vs 2008 to 2022 is a false equivalency if we're talking about how games have advanced

Looking at comparisons between original and the remake and i was surprised the original still looks good. Kinda threw me off when i thought they were showing the remake first and it was the original

Yeah, like the post above says, its got a really heavy atmosphere, one of the best horror atmospheres in gaming IMO

There are some f***in jumpscares that are scary, but its really the space horror atmosphere that does it for me

Verdugo and regenerators way scarier than anything in dead space imo
