Yeah, I read that statement. That was a pure hater statement. He said, oh, people only go to Drake's shows to take their phones out to record, because they want to post them on social media. The point of social media is to, like, you know, record important moments that you consider important to you. These people are just, I don't know, they're spiraling. It's just hate, too. A lot, a lot of hate. A lot of this, too, is all about women, jealousy, and money.

nobody f***ing watches the garbage quality videos they waste their time recording at concerts. live in the moment. I know this requires not being a narcissist which is tough for drake stans, but stop taking up everybody's eyeline holding your phone up in the air like a tool.

people share + watch those garbage memories more than you think, everything isn't about it being in the best quality so you can post it to the public. People laugh remembering how close or far they were away, their stupid voices singing in the back, the random people next to them who were fun/annoying... The s***ty video on the stage represents the whole day to them.

All this Kendrick stuff doesn't mean anything when it comes to like the actual planet Earth. Drake is still popular all over the world. Drake should just work with Afrobeats artists and UK drill artists and just leave all these Americans dry and let them run up that money that they claim Drake was taking from them. We gonna see how much they really run up. Nobody need America for music. It's only 4% of the population in the world too. People are a bit too gassed.

I agree with what you're saying but idk - the general narrative that people have is usually what sticks. I don't think we'll see a massive revisionism, unless ofc there are more tracks to come.

I think years from now a "you're a pedo" song on the classic discography of Kendrick will sit horribly, but in terms of JUST this beef, it'll unfortunately be remembered by "Not Like Us"

ppl will see it as one of his biggest missteps

it’s a good move for the short term, but after awhile, it will be looked at as his biggest mistake

that move was to squash its impact NOW but what happens when time passes and ppl actually take in how good family matters was?
