If this was being judged just based on the actual BARS, who dissed who better and who made the better songs and everyone wasn't being disingenuous as f*** and dismissing every good thing Drake did, it wouldn't even be close. There's a reason why actual battle rappers have Drake as the victor in this beef while every casual fan is taking Kendrick getting a hit record from it as the ultimate sign of victory. Now, magically, numbers are what decide the winner of a beef. Doesn't matter how you rap. Whoever gets the bigger hit wins automatically.

I think drake got out manoeuvred, he went into this thinking he will do a surgical strike - kendrick was more shock and awe.

He seemed genuinely surprised at how many people dissed him
on the first metro album, and how much of the industry hates him.

I don't think he thought it would be a 20v1 versuing Kendrick, likely caught off guard by that. Also, I don't think i've seen one celebrity take drakes side, no 21/yatchty/lebron etc. not anyone.

I think push ups leaking was damaging, a lot of people thought it was AI, and even so, lot of peoples first listen was on the unfinished/rough track. He started on a bad foot.

I think he underestimated the amount of people in the public that don't like him, and didn't take into account the various fan bases of people he's beefing, will not be objective and take kendricks side.

I think he underestimated kendricks willingness to go full nuclear with twitter verses and tiktok allegations, I don't think even he thought kendrick would make a full song about it, a few bars maybe, but not a song.

I think this entire beef has helped everyones career except for drakes - it also sets a bad precedent for the future, anyone can diss drake/call him a pedo, most people will take their side.

As far as next steps, I don't think he can win the public influence back in this beef, they have all already made up the mind he lost. I don't think drake thought this is how this beef would end at all. Maybe he drops his own summer banger(s) later so he doesn't have to hear not like us everywhere. This is the write up to this point, who knows, he can always drop a scary hours pack with proof and win i suppose.

I think he lost the beef due to these missteps, but had the better songs and is the better artist. I also think the next album will be very inspired, scorpion is my top 3. I think he should re-evaluate his industry friends and other artists in general, as I said, not one person spoke out for him.

I’m pretty sure he expected all of this. The only thing he didn’t expect was:

• People not caring about the red button reveal when it costed him so much in the Push feud

• Kendrick dropping MTG that quick

I do think he lost a lot of respect for Dot when he dived so hard into the tinfoil conspiracies though
