When it’s nothing but conspiracy theory rambling, there’s no point. You don’t need a lick of proof and you’re just gonna die by this theory, that’s called cope man

If there was actual proof and I was denying it, I would also be coping

“I believe this happened so that’s what happened” is not how reality works

“It was thought-out by someone really smart and who really understands psychology.”

This is called cope, it was just a rap battle that Drake lost

We are just dicussing s*** in here. Whats your problem?

If you got nothing to add then dont comment.

And as you dont seem to understand anything about psychological effects in terms of using it in your favor to give you the upper hand, then dont f***ing chime in.

You are also sensitive as f*** as I only pointing things out that can be great things to study on what actually happened. How it happened and why.

Again, you are just too dumb to get anything about it. Instead you think Im coping, when it is not really about that. Im just using the situation to make a point about how clear it was to see the psychological effects in this. How one side controlled the narrative completely. How scale then works when applied.

My main point was to showcase how one can study it and learn from the outcome, with examples. Understand.

You are still missing it and just proving you dont understand anything about the things I said with my post.

    Clueless is what you are.

And I am not trying to even cope or heal.

I was just pointing out how things played out and how you can see why they played out the way they did. The strategy and what drove it. It is just interesting to study and how one can easily see how one side was miles ahead before it really began.

Then you dont understand what I mean about the psychological effects one can see had a great impact in the outcome and in the public perception. I dont believe it was a lucky mistake.

And not an actual "psychologist" made it up or a secret sociecty. Like are you dumb forreal?

I wish we could really discuss the tactics used in this beef without it getting reduced to “copium” or d*** riding or touch grass the way Kendrick and his team utilized the hate and thirst for Drake to fall off was a master class in that aspect.

Specifically Kendrick saying whatever he wanted about Drake and a good amount of people treating it as the gospel. He took how Pusha T spun the narrative and it took to a whole other level. That aspect, I tip my cap. I don’t think Drake was truly prepared for the amount of hate he truly had.

It’s not a “great thing to study on what actually happened” because there’s nothing to study, you’re overcomplicating someone losing a rap battle

When it was pretty cut and dry, nobody waited for these “hand picked” social media personalities to form their opinion, the songs dropped, and Kendrick won, this song we are in the thread before didn’t even budge the needle, and the only psychological theories you need for that is that it sucked

    Thank you for getting it.

A lot of people wanted him to lose no matter what.

I think the advantages deployed on the other side was insurmountable even for Drake to overcome. One can easily see this in hindsight.

Because how do you compete when most of the influencing voices being against you, then you have all the fanatics on twitter (never underestimate fanatism) and backing from label/streaming services that everyone is using.

They controlled the narrative, the conversation and the algoritm.

It doesnt matter if Drake songs or responses was "good" or even "great"... they were gonna be shot down regardless. Drowned by Kendrick dropping song after song... and the firm grip on the conversation about it.

It had a great effect and how they been able to scale it. To benefit from it is impressive from a business standpoint.

I dont agree or like it very much, but there is a lot one can learn from it.

Usually you see this more applied in business, but I guess thats what is about here as well. Because Drake was a threat against the business and Universal here, not really Kendrick per se. He just signed up with them to do it to elevate himself and because he probably dgaf about Drake. One can feel however they want about that... but I know where I stand there.

Exactly! You get it! And I still maintain I don’t think when Kendrick jumped out the window with Like That, that he planned that far out. I think his competitive nature to hearing Drake and Cole trade bars about being the GOAT without him got to him as it should if you’re in that conversation.

I think after Taylor Made is where Kendrick was like oh I’m using everything I can get my hands on to pack you up. Lowkey the industry wanted Kendrick to be face of league anyway but Drake’s numbers were undeniable. All the people he was at odds with, contract dispute, general public thirsty to see him fail and then Kendrick beefing all aligned at the same time.

His team used that to their advantage wonderfully. As well as Drake rapped throughout it just didn’t matter because Kendrick used the power he had.

  • If Pusha T does what Drake did and say the accusations aren’t true are people gonna believe him or just clown him

A huge partner of Kendrick was just outed to be on the Epstein list. Wonder if this logic will be applied to that?

Kendrick himself could be on the Epstein list and this would still be one of the worst diss tracks of all time.

I think there was a strategy and Like That was just the bait.

Then a lot people started saying... Drake has to respond. Cole has to respond etc. "We want this epic beef between the big three".

After Cole absolutely botched his diss and retracting it. It put Drake in an awkward spot. Everybody wanted him to respond. So he kind of had to respond to not look like a punk and people were hype about this being a beef on record, but it was like going into a trap for Drake. He had all to lose, but did it for sport initially. Love for the culture. Like "okay, f*** it. Lets just do this then".

However, I feel like the other side was many steps ahead imo. I feel like Kendrick had a few songs in the tuck. Already a playbook ready, while still being able to tweak stuff. Knowing he also had back-up from the label. Then were also like so many other artists tied to it. Who but one with a lot of power can orchestrate such things? One has to have a lot of power within the industry.

And how this all started one can listen back to FATD... and especially the song "Away From Home"... 2nd verse.

"Who give a f*** Michelle Obama put you on her playlist?
Then we never hear from you again like you was taken
Who the CEO of Universal? They mistaken
'Cause Google sayin' Lucian, but that just doesn't make sense
Who fillin' up the piggy bank? Who bringin' home the bacon?
    This s*** don't come on vinyl, I'm still record-breakin'"

This is in 2023 months before the beef in public and about Kendrick + Lucian (Universal).

Likely this is over Drakes next deal and business. They were negotiating.

Imo, it makes me believe Kendrick and Universal later colluded with each other. That it was infact very thought-out from them. Diminish Drake influence and power. F*** up his brand/image. F*** up his money.

Lucian and Universal, then got Kendrick everywhere and both benefit heavily from their new partnership. Their plan to "take down" Drake and elevate Kendrick worked. Kendrick benefitting greatly in exposure and accolades. Then Lucian and Universal likely has a lot more leverage over Kendrick, then what they had on Drake. Or it doesnt make sense for them to do what they have.

They have likely made a lot of bank on Kendrick, while maintaining a lot of control and power in their relationship with him. Basically becoming their new cash cow, who cant make the same demands.

Drake probably had them by the balls before the beef and why this all might happened/escalated from the beginning behind the scenes. For them this was a calculated business move as their relationship with Drake likely broke down, when they were negotiating.

It also make sense why Drake would sue Universal and his biggest gripe was always with them or Lucian, from what I can gather.

Kendrick is/was just their pawn, who probably saw it as probably once in a life time chance to really cement a big legacy and receive all the glory/accolades from it. One can have some opinions on that, because it feels a lot like selling your soul to the label or Lucian imo.

I dont know any details though, just tryna put things together. It is fun to speculate on what goes on or really happened. Still playing out.

That Away From Home bar about the real CEO is definitely what kicked the hornet’s nest. He was talking crazy on that album. That’s when they were like we gotta humble him. What do you think about the talk of Cole lining him up? I don’t think Cole did that, I really think he saw that it wasn’t just gonna be rap between Drake and Kendrick.

When he saw/was told by someone close to Kendrick this was going to get dirty, he didn’t want to take part in it anymore. I don’t think Cole backdoored him though. Like I said I think the stars just aligned for everyone who had issues with him to come together at the same time and jump him

Humbling is not the word I would use. Like they were out to do a good deed or something.

Not when colluding like that. It was malicious imo.

Drake had become to powerful for Universal/Lucian and they maybe fell out because of that. Thats not humbling, its cut throat. As said... it was to f*** up Drakes brand, his image, his money and so on. Instead of Drake, get Kendrick to take over being the cash cow for them. Kendrick being perfectly fine doing this and getting the glory/accolades says a lot about his true character. He is basically the labels b**** now. Not some savior of rap or the culture.

And connecting, orchestrating it with other artists... media and other insiders. It is not stars aligning, its conspiring. Or colluding.

Drake wasnt taking the bait from Like That, initially. I think he might have been well aware of things. Knew something was gonna happen, but didnt know when. Evidently he already alluding to stuff on FATD, as I mentioned. There was tension behind the scenes.

He was still weighing his options, when Cole did what he did.

Maybe Cole didnt know and had been left in the dark, but his actions left Drake with few options. As the pressure on him to respond or say something increased.

Cole getting a call and likely hearing about the plans, how many people were involved... made him back out imo. Probably just getting the word about that the fix was in and he better back down. Drake is the target, but you will be collateral if you dont bow out.

Even if he wasnt setting Drake up on purpose, that doesnt make him come off very good imo. To me that is a betrayal that cant be forgiven and very poor. He cant ever say something slick or pop off like he is a tough guy ever again.
