also it’s inferred in my post that i consider them both black and white — reading shouldn’t be this hard
as an example i’m a biracial born and raised in Angola - Africa, over there im “mulato” but here in Portugal - Europe im seen as black, im not gon reply to people “hm actually i’m mulato” because i’m not living there, especially knowing it’s etymological origin
and if i went to some of our uncivilized/native tribes back home i might be seen as white too
side note: there’s a nuance with coloured that u wouldn’t understand unless u from there, they don’t consider themselves biracial either, you’re talking about something u have bare knowledge — Tyla can only speak for herself bringing her up means nothing
I clarified all of this in several post after…
SAs racial categories aren’t the end all be all, I was just using it to point out differences in racial categorization as oppose to just looking at it from the US vantage. I didn’t say Tyla was biracial or that either category was for those that identified as biracial.
Overall point was that white person + black person offspring doesn’t = black.
