Drake’s music is good “background rap”, where I don’t have to really pay attention to what he’s saying. Nothing to really hold on to or digest.

Kendrick has a thought or purpose to what he’s saying with layered concepts and sounds. And he usually takes me to a place sonically that I wasn’t expecting.
