You can say that about almost any post on a forum, that seems like a really easy cop out of an argument to me lol

I’ve followed hip hop for years and I’m just observing the situation and giving my perspective and interpretation on it, im not claiming it to be objective law but you should be able to refute it better than just “that’s your opinion” if I’m saying anything that off base

Anyone can see what Yachty has been doing trying to gain a different kind of respect the last few years. And to be fair to him it worked as far as making people take him more seriously

Im just not ready to call him better than people who never had to do a course correction/artistic makeover like this in the first place. I respect artists of Yachtys gen who can show rap skill without just deferring to a certain rap aesthetic to sell it

Yachty is gonna become one of those litmus test artists that seperate the rap fans from the pretentious hipsters who have a select group of “the good ones”

Yeah, specifically in recent times, let’s say in the last year. and specifically the trends have to include all of these elements: dressing, flowing, tone, and possibly dancing (it’s implied by some of the wording)

If it’s one size fits all you should have an easy 5 people off top this could fit
