The last change to the character was a nerf. A BUG FIX didn’t turn him into a god

No. He's broken. The devs f***ed up making his movement be parallel to his attack. All other characters practically have to choose being more stationary for damage or not attack with accuracy with fast movement.

BP has no room for nerfs or buffs because his movement is his damage.

At no point in this game’s history has Black Panther ever been broken.

This is the same “tickle monster” from S0. The ways to shut down BP have not changed since then (in fact there’s more)

This is the same character with the most counters in the game (not an opinion it’s concrete figures)

This isn’t a situation of people learning the character and revealing value. The gameplay loop has been defined since the beta’s. An above average BP and a good BP’s gameplay will be virtually identical aside from the decision making that separates the two.

The reality is that there are a vocal majority of coddled, reactionary, stubborn players who do not like to be challenged directly in any magnitude that influence some of these balance changes.

A few viral clips later and suddenly the “D-tier” character is a permaban and a problem everyone suddenly forgot how to deal with.

I would agree with you if a year later people actually knew how to deal with him. All ranks from bronze to gm 2 can't deal with an average BP lol. That's why he's banned every time. There's bad quality control with the dps in the game when it comes to peeling or killing him. If I'm solo tanking I pray that someone goes namor lol

It’s really just a teamwork/skill issue.

If your DPS can’t peel or your Strats don’t look at each other he will dominate.

This is why I said stubborn players, if you’re solo tanking (which is already negligence from your teammates) expecting you to swap to Thing is just going to f*** the game up worse.

I’ve played BP in relatively high ELO (Eternity peak), and I’ve went against the character as well. The only times I’ve had issue with the character is situations where my supports aren’t aware or my DPS try to mirror the dive but those games felt like losses regardless.

I think Netease just really needs to rip the band aid off and nerf his damage.

Revert all of the shield and health nerfs, decrease his cooldown but eliminate the one shot breakpoints.

This will turn him into more of a pressure dive like Captain America and give players more opportunities to stop him.
