that was a really great listen man
always good when a VETERAN comes through and delivers with just great music. THE ORIGINATOR
DAMN this is pretty fire
really wish some songs were longer tho
I like that none of the songs overstayed their welcome
7 tracks in and the only one I didn't f*** with so far was 100% Sustainable. The One sounds better with the context of this record though. I didn't expect this to be so much more experimental and Bollywood inspired (definitely the most of any of her albums) than what the singles implied

just felt like some of them ended so abruptly, like they could’ve been more fleshed out
slight nitpick tho i enjoyed the whole album

The one definitely sounds better within the album I noticed this as well
Since she said that the label cut most of the songs out, I think her original idea was put out an album that sounded like a mix tape. this is why the songs are shower and some of them end abruptly.

I remember she said AIM was like the one project where she got 100% say and it’s by far her worst record so maybe it’s a good thing the studio is filtering her output

She never said that. She included on AIM all the songs she recorded in the previous years just to put an end to her old contract and this is why AIM sounds more like a compilation than a proper album

i never knew this. but yeah that's pretty common for artists tryna finish out contracts
Just finished listening and that closer is incredible. Crazy that Uzi was a producer on it
This is leagues beyond AIM and definitely at the caliber of her other projects. Time will tell to rank them but I will say this is easily her most musically pleasing project up to date.

last track hit me hard, such a good finish
what were Uzi’s contributions

I think it was originally a reference track that Uzi did and MIA took it and did her own spin on it
