earlier this year they signed this really good british experimental rock/post-punk band called Squid to their label as well. should definitely check them out if you’ve never heard of them, especially if you f*** with Black Midi. their debut album should be coming out early next year.

I really really love this project. It’s so beautiful and captivating and well executed in concept and sound. I’ve been waiting for a psych record like this tbh, the back half of this really dips into psychedelia (like Wave Idea, WOW) and it’s incredible. He is just in top form right now, there’s a lot of playing with his older styles and bringing them to his present experiments and it’s just so masterful how he brings it together.

I love the day to night concept and how it progresses in sound as it goes along, it feels executed so well. I especially love the last ending suite, Lost But Never Alone is INSANE and i have a lot of feelings about it all. It’s special. I’m gonna keep listening but i’m in love with this album rn.

One of my fav song by OPN is called Chrome Country

And off this new album I would recommend listening to I Don't Love Me Anymore, it's very good

But tbh you should check out the whole thing and then past albums it's really worth it

Love how this album is similar to his older album with a more modern sound, makes sense with the whole concept too
