"dated" always bothers me, does everything need to be contemporary for it to be enjoyed?

the time and era that music is released is always going to have some sort of impact. its not that long ago where there was a wave of a bunch of Memphis beats that were popular.

This has never been a thing for me personally. Things I like then I still like them now, don't think the shift in trends should dictate what people enjoy.

I think that type of thinking is dead in 2026.

he was kinda losing me with his main albums (less so the mixtapes and EPs inbetween) even though they were successful for him
