Maybe to the average person it looks great. They used the same 2 shots in each scene. Editing was ok. Sound design was ok. Writing was ok. Performances were fine. But it didn’t blow me away from a production standpoint. It was very ok. But a podcast doesn’t have to be a Disney movie

The new channel has 20k subs. I think everyone should temper their expectations (at least early expectations). It takes a while to build a successful podcast / audience / channel. They have a headstart from JBP, but something like Call Her Daddy is like lightning in a bottle. Ak does surprisingly well (even his twitch stream clips do numbers) but has been at it for a while. I think they’ll succeed but it won’t be immediate. And there’s a chance the podcast flops like the female led JBN pods

Fair. If this were 2011 I’d think this was amazing, but we live in a time where people produce near TV budget level s*** for digital, so this didn’t really amaze me. happy to them doing their thing though. wish this could have happened at JBN
