i revisited What For? today for the first time in a minute and yeah i was sleepin lol it's a very solid project specifically the first 4 or 5 tracks, and has some of Chaz's best lyricism in spots imo. it falls off in the middle a little bit but finishes strong
i always forget how good of a song Buffalo is

Half Dome Chaz comes through with some summer music every other year
should we do rankings? mine might be surprising but i don't think dude has a weak project
Ranking Toro's 6 LPs (not including other monikers)
Anything in Return
Causers of This
What For?
Outer Peace
Boo Boo
Underneath the Pine
AIR is my personal favorite but Causers of This is on the same level if not better. Causers is concise and has no bad songs while AIR has Cake.
Outer Peace leaves me so conflicted, I should have it in 3rd. it has some of my favorite music Toro has ever made but it feels like his most unfocused project in terms of sound and sequencing. relistening to What For? today it's definitely the stronger album of the two
Boo Boo is dope and nails its sound, it just could've been shorter. the second half has the better songs
Underneath the Pine is the obvious head-scratcher i guess, i find it kind boring. What For? is the better psych-pop project out of the two tbh

never peeped it actually. that's what i'll do tomorrow, dig that up on soundcloud somewhere then throw it in
i'd put freaking out EP and Soul Trash both above Underneath the Pine as well i think
i also need to check out the project with Mattson 2 i'm mad late on that.

Amazing aesthetic package
this magazine song reminds me of college
days of loneliness intertwined with a deep love of music tinged with the cold of mountain living
bittersweet memories

Damn you’re gonna have a hell of a first listen with Samantha
shoutout to rome fortune i used to f*** with a few of his joints way back in the day lol

so i waked and baked and put this on, glad i did cause it was an adventure lol he was lowkey ahead of his time with this, it would fit in right among the more abstract/sound collage-y projects that have been popular the last couple years
i can't really rank it tbh because i'm just not used to hearing all these different voices on a Toro project haha but it's always dope to hear Chaz indulge a little bit
some really beautiful moments towards the middle and end of this tape

Hip hop would be made significantly better if the brother chose to shift to that lane full time
Toro hates the East coast confirmed
Toro and Khruangbin sounds like the chillest show ever damn
