and its not like people moved on from tumblr or myspace, one got sold off and lost its core audience and the other just kinda died down? it wont be possible to make people switch platforms just because the owner is a moron

I just think Twitter covers a portion of breaking news that won't be replaced unless another monolith emerges. I really hope bluesky or mastodon will replace it. I hardly use twitter nowadays and it really helps the soul, but the problem is that misinformation and hate are constantly spread on there, which harms people who still use it
