This accurately describes his behavior, even if the narrative about a hidden problem after the crash that has just been discovered is bullshit. The truth is that if a psychotic guy is treated like the King of the World, they have no reason not to spiral further into madness. When Kanye’s life and career crashed down, it was obviously a big conspiracy for him.

I love my dad. He is a great guy who did unbelievable things. Yet he goes completely batshit crazy once a year, then falls back in depression half a year later. That's how I've known him since 2016. Manic, then depressed. No inbetween. My dad lived in a fantasy world, where he, for example, would say that he was a teenager, and I was his father. That hurts, for more reasons then 1. The doctors kept coming up with new ideas, trying to get money from him. My mother informed me of this and that, "he's schizophrenic."
Years ago, I made a fool out of myself, crying about this to my mother in law. I still cringe thinking back to it. I just want my dad back, but he is gone. Though not too long ago, this month, he seemed like himself again. I know he will never be fully the same again, but he is aware of all the bullshit he said. He also cringes thinking back. People who suffer through this, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

im really glad he seems so self-aware of it. i mean bipolar is a real thing and Ye definitely exemplifies the behavior of mania. and it is true that people in a manic state aren’t (or kinda can’t let themselves be) aware of what they’re doing.

When Ye first got on the nazi s*** I kinda clocked immediately that he’s really just stuck in this pattern of doing what people say he isn’t supposed to. I mean he has this whole image of being a crazy rockstar type of artist always doing wild and disrespectful s***. and this image has led him to a LOT of success. It kinda tracks that, in a manic state, he would say f*** it and just go allll the way in on the “i do what im not supposed to and im wild and im disrespectful”. That s*** has really only ever been positively reinforced in Kanye’s life, and in a state of mania it makes sense he wouldn’t really be able to tell when he took it too far.
