FriesI'm sorry dude but at this stage it's clear that he's not that smart, I think he brings up Kaufman as a get-out-of-jail-free card so that people might think he's trolling, but performance art or not (it's not), bringing neo-nazis to mainstream awareness is a very bad consequence of his actions that I don't think art could excuse
But the hard part to understand is that he is clearly not dumb. How f***ing smart would he have to be to casually drop Kauffman references throughout his career in order to shield him from controversy??? Thats some galaxy brain evil genius type of thought process

He's already acted like his anti-semitic stuff was just to get out of his contracts, saying 'gotcha' when there's clearly more to it, since he's been dropped by everyone and continues with this insane campaign, I think acting like he meant it all along when he makes mistakes is clearly a part of how he deals with stuff like this
