You clearly havnt scene Pulp Fiction then lol there is definitely correlation to the scenes. It’s a non linear narrative but there’s still correlation and connection.
A better example would have been Inland Empire or a Mulholland Dr by David Lynch. Completely disjointed and through line of scenes is completely dream like
You had me agreeing with PF but lost me at the Mulholland Dr thing
I'm still kind of amazed how not off-his-rocker Kanye sounds on that song
It seems like a kind of average song but I'm intrigued to hear him really focused and rapping well. His flow and delivery was just not quite there on Donda, though it overall has so much great music on it
nah i don’t he sounded like rhymefest and consequence on his first 2 albums and big sean on grad
I'm really gonna need some more info on Big Sean writing graduation because i just don't see it.
Mulholland Dr is one of my fav films OAT but it’s not disjointed at all
I never get why people call that film difficult to understand, it’s probably some of the most accessible s*** Lynch has done. You don’t even HAVE to “feel your way” through that film like with most of his other work. It’s quite simple to interpret pretty much everything in the film because of the final scenes
Inland Empire is a whole different beast though, that one is actually a code no one will ever crack, but I still love it a lot as well
I’m not not saying Mulholland Dr is difficult to understand. Disjointed doesn’t mean difficult. Just means there are parts to the film that are separated from the main narrative structure to expand on the external logic of the film.

There was 1-2 seconds of footage of him with a notepad while tony Williams and a lady were writing the champions bridge
That’s the only evidence

Wasn’t necessarily saying you think so, but I found Inland Empire more fitting in that regard. And it just reminded me of the fact that many people do talk about that film like it’s such a puzzle and hard to interpret which I obviously don’t agree with lol
If you like Lynch going full Lynch you should check out his experimental shorts if you haven’t yet. Some of them are incredible
Nah, this the most hyped I’ve been for a Ye project since “Pablo”.
These snippets are more promising than anything we’ve gotten these past few projects.
Exactly, this particular snippet doesn’t blow me away but his rapping is back, thus the possibilities of a classic are much higher
just curious, how has his rapping on this any different than what we’ve heard on Donda and his features around the time

That soul sample snippet from Steve Lacy's set sounded dope as well.
He knows he can't f*** this s*** up & this has to be a major "apology" record.
Even more so than what "MBDTF" was.
Is it gonna' be as grand? I doubt it, but he's def gonna' be in his bag for this one (at least I hope)
Can’t really put a finger on it but it sounds like he’s got that confidence/bravado in his voice again that he’s been missing the last few years
Just the stuff he says, way he pronounces words
We are back
That ‘uh’ he has in the Steve snippet is crazy

What I mean by "apology" is that the music's gonna' be insane.
He's def gonna' be name dropping & denouncing some s*** on here.

Nah I feel that. And that’s fair. I also felt the same with Eraserhead and Blue Velvet. Inland Empire my fav though.
Boat, Darkened Room, Rabbits, and the monkey one go harder than most directors catalogues. Lol
Didn't expect this outta this thread but Inland Empire is a hard movie to love but incredibly rewarding if you do
I watched that s*** hallucinatorily high off an edible and was a changed man at the end

Yeah I think I’ve seen that one. That’s the one where the scissors are like hanging out of the frame of the theatre and into the crowd?

Bonkers lmao He’s so beautifully nutty
a blessing to have this man in the world.
Do we have a Lynch thread in the TV/Movies?
