Met this dude in Washington square
he’s always making random content like this
Queens or Jersey City if I work In Manhattan? Both have long commutes but Jersey City is much more affordable
I look at Brooklyn rent prices and I’m good on all that, none of the other boroughs seem to be in range with what I’m trying to pay, maybe I just gotta live with the fact I’ll be paying $2000 in rent and look at Harlem, im staying in an Airbnb here atm and I love it.

What’s your budget and where in manhattan? Driving or subway?
If I’m driving I’d probably live in jersey city over queens. But actually I’d probably live in riverdale over both of those if I’m driving.
I’ve never in my life taken public transportation to jersey or coming back from jersey so idk about any of that. Depending on where you coming from in queens and where you work in manhattan public transportation can be nice and smooth. Like if you work on the east side and can live in LIC or anywhere near the west side of queens it’s not that bad. Idk about going from queens to the west side of manhattan.
If you coming from flushing and have to take that 7 train every morning then I’d pass.
Harlem is fine tho or something smaller on the upper west or east sides if you wanna live in manhattan. Probably 1800-2300 for a decent 1br. Or you can make it easy on yourself with roommates.

Jersey easily
The pandemic changed NYC forever. RIP
What changed? Except the dining outside
Niggas charging 2K for studio with a straight face
Where at? I know my parents at one point were paying $3500 for a studio on 2nd st.

In queens
I stopped looking at Manhattan.
When I look at Manhattan I look at moving out of new york
What’s your budget and where in manhattan? Driving or subway?
Near MSG, and I have a car but I prefer riding the subway/bus
Most I’m trying to pay is $1900 but I realize if I want to be closer it’s hard to find a place in that range
Jersey easily
Def seems like you get more for your $ in JC, there’s pros and cons to every place but I can sleep better at night knowing I’m not paying out the ass in rent just because somewhere is in NY and has a shorter commute by 10 mins

Idk, maybe the thousands of businesses that closed forever and the hundreds of thousands of folks that left

Prefer subway/bus
I ain’t take the subway in over 5 years I just drive or Uber. I was born here tho so I’ve had enough subway bullshit for my lifetime
Driving in from jersey would def be the best option to me
I’m not moving out of my parents house until I can afford a mortgage down payment at this point. Imagine living paycheck to paycheck with a 6 figure salary just live in a rat infested apartment

Yea I’d rather sit in a bus/subway I don’t have to control than drive in NYC and deal with parking, traffic, paying for parking/tickets.
I’m originally from NY and have just moved back, idk I’ve never had too many problems with the subway

LIC is awesome. Most of the luxury buildings are rent controlled which give you 10 years of 1.5% fixed increase in rent. There’s like 8 subway lines (E/M/R/N/W/7/G) that run through here and are all 1-2 stops away from Manhattan. Takes me 8-10 mins from my door (including walking to and from the train + the ride on the train) to get to the Equinox on E 63rd St via the N
Even on a night out, never more than 35-40 mins to get home even from LES
Bro goes to Equinox
i’m gonna need some recs to some bars/clubs that actually play good music because so far these rooftop bars i’ve been to are trash
