El ReyI think the problem comes from how we're forcing all these guys who aren't shooters to shoot 3's first so we can keep up with modern basketball instead of trying to develop what they're already good at and work from there.
I feel like guys like Barrett and Dennis Smith and to a lesser extent Knox and Frank should be working on becoming slashers driving to the basket and then developing on pulling up from mid range before they work on their 3's.
The guys we have are obviously not as talented but they come from the Wade, D-Rose, Giannis mold of players. You gotta work on mastering the driving and inside part of their game first before you work on their outside jumper.
Long story short, the guys we have shouldn't be shooting 3's until they become good at driving and pulling up from mid range which should be the foundation of their game first. We should be developing them based on what they are currently over what we want them to be.
Why is Mitch being developed as a DeAndre Jordan type when he can expand his game.
I don't think I've ever seen him shoot a 3. Even though in the film footage that was on YouTube when we drafted him he was shooting jumpers all over the place. I know it was against little high school motherfuckers but can't they expand on that here?

Would it make sense for the Suns to do that though? They already got Ayton who shows he's capable of being a top center in the league. Think the Suns will just stick with him for his development. It is only his second year I believe.

Honestly the worst part of picking up all those PFs is that leaves very little variety in regards to trades. How many teams really need dudes like Randle, Gibson, or Portis? Morris is really our one worthwhile PF and with how he plays we actually need him.
