So tough to say what this season will look like. When I think of 2022 I think of how a lot of that season's success came with the absence of DeGrom + Scherzer. If pieces fall in place and the bullpen comes through, then this year could be exciting, though I say that at the beginning of every mediocre year this team has.

Win or lose, I will never have the same confidence in Brett Baty that everyone else does

Scherzer only missed a month but you're very correct. Taijuan, Bassitt, Carrasco, even David Peterson were so stable that season. Sure the offense was plain better too but it's hard to look passed the pitching.

Scherzer, Carrasco, and Peterson all returned to pitch WAY worse than they did in 2022 and we let the other two walk.

This current rotation just needs to stay healthy, hope Senga can come back in May and stick around

I think the franchise is on a better course now than they were last summer and ya don't need to win 100 games to have a playoff run

My confidence wit Baty was always low but my optimism was high. Mainly because imma sucker for a corner infielder lefty wit pop. But yeah this is his shot. If he doesn’t pick it up, I mean they could package him somehow.

I just wish Ronny wasn’t hurt I would’ve really liked to see him this spring and see how he could impact the team for a full season.
