Sliding the game tomorrow for the holiday. And we only a game back. Hopefully we stay hot and I get some bragging rights over the homie who is a Redsox fan
1 game behind let's strap tf up
damn this gave me goosebumps
but but but they told me he peaked in Cleveland!!
If we were winning more games he'd definitely be up there in MVP talks

he's legit #2 in the race. Marte's injury set him back. The meaning of the award being most valuable to the team should mean Lindor gets the award because even without Ohtani, the Dodgers would probably be doing pretty well.
I get why Ohtani would get the award and I'm not gonna sit here and cry about it but I do think Lindor is more "deserving" of the title Most Valuable Player if that makes sense.
Without Lindor, I think the Mets are well under .500

He's cemented his status as a Met legend with this season in my eyes

easily. I felt that way when he hit those 3 HRs against the Yankees in 2021 lmao but yeah this season has cemented him officially. 12 will be retired, he'll go in the HoF with a Mets cap. I just pray we are able to field a team good enough / get hot at the right time to win a WS with him.
I legit just want one man, we can suck for mad long afterwards. I just want Lindor and GKR to get one

Media loves talking about Ohtani and the homeruns jump off the page more. However, when it comes to pure impact and stats, Lindor easily outclasses him this year.
Like you said, the Dodgers would still be the Dodgers without Ohtani. Kinda hard to make an impact case for a dude who has been on a team that's been cruising through the regular season and into deep playoff runs for 4+ years now.

First Met since Reyes that I'm gonna cop the jersey for

100%. you seen how the MLB Twitter always posts an Ohtani clip whenever he steals a bag or hits another HR? Always with exclamation and s*** "OHTANI STEALS HIS 46TH BASE OF THE SEASON!"
and Lindor does something and it's just plain as day. "Lindor hits his 29th Home Run of the season to put the Mets up 1-0." It's insane bias lmao

I mean Ohtani is about to get 50-50 which has never been done before, he has to get it off that alone

Kinda nuts that this is probably the only chance anyone else has at winning MVP (assuming Ohtani begins pitching again next year and is as good as he was before) but Ohtani is putting up ridiculous historic offensive numbers.
They should make a Best Player of the Year or Offensive Player of the Year award
Energy at Citi Field was crazy this series, was in the spot on Monday. Now I got bragging rights against my mans atleast until next year
funny he’s actually so much better if he pitches more often
https://twitter.com/snytv/status/1832228834499846654Still feel like he was bound not to be 100% back to 22nDiaz coming off injury. We all peeped his velo was down early this season. But he’s been touching 98/99 even 100 recently
Barves and Diamondbacks choking while we're white hot
We cooled them boys from AZ off

even last night his fastball was at 96 to begin the inning, after the mound visit he pumped it back up to 99 and got outs
