Even though last night was a loss it gave me a lot of hope for the rest of this month and June. We was down 13-2 and finished the game 13-12. That's amazing. The bats are actually alive this year forreal. We just might be able to hold strong til Scherzer and deGrom come back. We don't need aces, we just need guys who can hold a team off long enough for our bats to handle s***. It's an awkward place to be at, and I do think a trade or two will have to be made to get us some stronger options on the mound, but this isn't a worst possible situation to be in.

Sounds very "no s***" to say, but if we can make it through June we gonna be aight.

The most satisfying part is that no one's waiting for a three run homer: the comeback was a product of mostly singles - pure baseball s*** that requires a whole lot of camaraderie and team momentum to maintain this many times so far. You can almost feel how the mets overpower teams when they get into comeback mode

I don't want to give all the credit to Showalter, but it's so hard not to. From last season to this season the energy, the urgency, and like you said the camaraderie is night and day. It's been so long since we had a real f***in manager who gave a s*** and was able to rally a team. I feel like that is really what the biggest difference is. Of course we got new additions to the team and development and all that. But you don't make that kinda rally throughout a game last night without a manager getting on the team's ass.

Yeah it’s like I’m still not over last night but wit this team there is this sense of “all good we got next game”. That’s something I haven’t had ina while. Plus watching them fight back like that was inspiring. Securing the W would’ve just been perfect

I lowkey think they rushed Luis as far as managing in the big leagues. I think he would’ve had a nice fit with Buck at the helm and him working as a bench coach or something. They should’ve hired Buck a long time ago

I don't have any hard feelings against Luis he was just a victim of a terrible front office and corrupt petty ownership by the Wilpons. Along with a complete mess of a season due to covid. I do like that Cohen gave him a fair chance when he got ownership of the club and gave him one more year. But it was really only a matter of time, end of the day he wasn't the guy Cohen wanted, and I'm sure he wouldn't have even put him in that kinda position if he became the owner fast enough lol

Facts. Wilpons did him dirty, should’ve just let Beltran “redeem” himself. If the Sox could bring Cora back…

Plus I think the players liked Luis as well but he got the job when the organization was a transitional period so he was bound to get clipped. I would’ve liked him to stay in the organization but I understand why he would leave

Players are taking a healthy amount of accountability and I dont think that would happen if Micky or Luis were still around tbh. Diaz is comfortable saying his slider was off because he knows he has Buck's trust, and Pete was open about his struggles too which I'd like to think helped enable this recent tear he's been on. So absolutely, its that balance of hardass-ness and a lot of implicit trust in the bigger and smaller name players

A great manager makes a huge difference for players forreal

That's just what's been missing from the team for a minute. A guy who can actually lead the talent that we have.

You know Lindor is on a tear where the baseball gods are giving him hits. On some angels in the outfield s***, making outfielders completely misread balls or miss
