White people will take parts of other cultures, gentrify areas, etc. and claim it like their own. Obviously this isnt the way to go about it but its gonna take time before the tension decreases. It was less then 100 years that black people were fighting just to be treated as equal, and its a fight that still continues. You can't ignore the past. You know the history, just cause you werent alive to live it does not disregard it. There are many racist people who will raise racist kids. It's a cycle of prejudice between different communities that started somewhere, it didnt just happen. Just acting like history didnt happen isnt the way to go. We have to build together and grow and that will take time and a lot of trust. It's not gonna happen overnight
