As we all could tell from the trailer this is pure Refn for Refn fans, but the first episode is slow (not in a bad way) and i had to get used to the fact that CC already felt very different from TOTDY

Speaking of TOTDY ive seen multiple posts of people online saying that the long silences and empty stares are less frequent in CC than that series but the pacing felt about the same to me, but with only 2 episodes deep it could pick up ofc

It’s slow but not without substance, Refn put a lot in just 2 hours already and i can’t wait for all the magical NWR moments that i know he can create

The sound design and music slaps so f***ing hard. It serves primarily as either background music to enhance the ethereal look and feel of the neon world or is used to built up tension. All while simultaniously sounding mysterious and trippy, gritty but rich, cold but vibrant. Pretty much a given when you look at NWRs earlier collabs with Cliff Martinez but it sounds just as grand and otherwordly here as in TOTDY and i love that

dark subject matter but interesting story and characters with the typical NWR touch. loved the colors in the first ep

lil boy from Stranger Things is giving a great performance too lol

nice to see this is only 6 episodes, the slowness doesn't bother me at all knowing the story will progress

There was a period where I felt somewhat this way, suggest you rewatch pusher series, makes you appreciate his evolution a bit more
