At the beginning of the season Miami was getting absolutely demolished in every game, thought there was no possible way they didn't end up with #1 and they dropped all the way to #5. Bengals moved off Dalton, Redskins started Haskins, Stafford got injured, and the Giants were just overall not good especially on defense

Bottom line is even when you're actively tanking, another team is probably unintentionally doing it better
