However, Drew has done great work in the local community since he has gotten to New Orleans. Things that don’t make national headlines. So while on one hand I completely agree, I also don’t think he should be crucified in this moment for answering a direct question with an honest answer. His opinion in regards to kneeling for the anthem, one I do not agree with but which is what he was asked, doesn’t come from a place of malicious intent but that doesn’t make it any less ignorant and it’s for that and that alone, why I think this is an opportunity for him to be educated by his teammates and others on why that is.

Yeah I get all the community work he’s done for the community and after all that he still doesn’t get it? It’s up to him to educate himself at this point. There’s been many tweets, videos, explaining the reason behind the kneeling for years now and he’s still hung up on the wrong thing ever since he made his initial comments years ago. You can’t teach someone that doesn’t wanna listen. And plus we don’t need this type of tension at this period of time we’re all at atm.

Drew had multiple opportunities to educate himself at hand with having being around a lot of black people. Am I against him educating himself now? No. But I see it for what it is.
