To be fair, he was asked a direct question about the flag and his general thoughts on players kneeling. The question he was asked wasn’t pertaining necessarily to recent events. He also did take a knee with the rest of his teammates in solidarity back when this whole thing popped off. You can argue that makes his stance more puzzling considering he said the exact same thing back then as well but what this situation illuminates more than anything is the idea of privilege and the way ones view, even someone like Drew who has put his money and time into servicing the black populous in New Orleans, can be warped because of it. I don’t think he should conform his views because they aren’t necessarily wrong nor are they coming from a malicious place I believe but what is needed from people like him in his position is understanding. The understanding that your experience and “The Black Experience” are 2 different things so while everything the flag represents to you can very well be true, for me and certainly in this moment, it is not.

His views are absolutely wrong. He's had 4 years to understand why Kapernick and others knelled down during the Anthem. Any apology now is disingenuous. White people like him feel like only white people have ever served in the army during WW1 & WW2. He is what, 40 years old? He's had ample time to educate himself on the matter. He chooses not to. I hope if any of those black men on the Saints respect themselves, they will quit on him.

Im a grown ass man and I can see right from wrong, Jake Fromm is wrong and whatever happens happens, but the b**** who posted this is a spiteful clout chasing jit. She really went back and dug up a conversation from a year ago when her and cuz was flirting and thought it'd be conducive to post it. If she thought he was wrong she woulda exposed homie on the spot.

In closing, I don’t really give a f*** about Jake Fromm saying Elite whites in a text message nor Drew Brees stance on kneeling. While they’re teachable moments not only for the parties involved but the country at large, the exposing of Jake Fromm being tongue and cheek in a text message does nothing for black people lmao These are tactics the enemy uses to distract us from the real issues. Lets talk defunding the police, lets come up with ways we can get our community to refocus its efforts in local elections, lets buckminster Fuller the block, not the economics of the saints locker room going forward or Jake f***ing Fromm
