    it's football bros. contract lengths are mostly meaningless. the last 5 years could be non-guaranteed.

    the fact that they reached a long term extension is big news but otherwise just wait until the details come out

    10 years lets them spread the cap hit thinner, thats why you do a long deal. it doesnt have much to do with how long you commit yourself to the player
