The NFL isnāt built for dynasties, itās nearly impossible to pull off. Mahomes contract isnāt ācripplingā to the chiefs salary cap but it is significant. For the next 3 years his cap charge is about 5mil, 25mil, 31mil.... then it goes up into the 40+mils after that.
If they are to create a dynasty and win 2 more titles, these next couple years would be the time to do it. The cap might stay stagnant for a few years due to the lost revenues of the covid season so those 40 to 50 million cap hits will impact how many other players they can sign or re-sign.
You can win sustainably with the highest paid qb but you need to keep drafting well
