In the dropout program I teach at, English 12 contains a unit on resumes, cover letters and business education. One assignment involves making a stock portfolio spreadsheet and at least one of my students knew absolutely nothing about investing. I had to walk them through the basic math of it.
It's crucial to learn because ignorance gets you taken advantage of.

There's limitations on investment professionals talking about subjects without FINRA approval in many cases.
