not to play enlightened centrist but i despise both hipsters and “muh underground” dudes and the casual skimming billboard algorithm “mysterious music” dudes quite equally
would be nice if people stopped using these artists as personality traits or living vicariously through them, so you could just simply enjoy it for what it is versus condemning it because it’s “too underground” or “too poppy”

that’s why you just search “wayne”
or if the band name has “the” in it then leave that s*** out and just search “beatles”
pretty much just pick the most unique word in rappers name/band name and just search that word

you're not wrong at all but you just gotta not engage with them unfortunately. That's why I miss it when we could discuss music in depth without being shamed for it.
