Middle of the Ocean really wasnt one of the best songs on Her Loss people just say it is bc it was lyrical

Drake was really doing some dope ass new flows and style throughout her loss

I legit think its one of his best projects in a while it was hella consistent and replayable for me

This is the problem with the rap game…you’re just saying bullshit to try and be funny and get a rush of dopamine from the likes/this thread

He rarely talks about being bi on there, in facts goes out of his way to have a bunch of songs that fit into typical straight nigga scenario rap songs (abortion/pregnancy scares, having multiple partners and being afraid of commitment)

And the production just simply doesn’t sound like this. Its def in the typical tyler lush chords and bouncy drums bag but that’s not what you posted.

Joe budden did this exact same thing by trying to force a joke about “this sounds like pharrell jerrod carmichael and tyler had a shroom party” corny try hard ass nigga what does that even mean lol

Rap has been ruined by everyone reaching to have a reactionary hot take and its amazing to see that humor has really seeped into niggas brains. This s*** started from black twitter and Charlemagne / Joe Budden (the pre fedora hat version) formula 15 years ago, maybe even give credit to someone like Patrice O Neal for saying wild and hilarious yet true statements that stuck (and subsequently people like kain carter)
