I realize I’m one of the last ppl alive that is still trying to play this game lmao, but they just added character voices, items, new DLC characters and made it free on PlayStation so there’s been a resurgence of players, more than ever tbh. They’re about to make it crossplay any day now too and it’s so much more polished and refined than when it first launched.

The only reason I keep trying to play this is cus the core gameplay and fighting is so f***ing fun. More than any other fighter for me. It’s so fast and weighty and addicting and I’m a god tier Catdog. I really hope this game finds a decent core player base when it officially goes crossplay (and hopefully free to play for all consoles) cus it really deserves it. There’s a lot of ppl playing on PS5 rn

It’s free for PS Plus !!! I lowkey think this is a model for them to test going free to play for all consoles when crossplay launches cus it’s already mad cheap everywhere and they’ll prob try to make money off the DLC packs in the future. S*** is so fun I usually play here and there when i can actually get a match but now you can just jump in whenever. And something I like about it is even new players can jump in and have fun cus the controls are so intuitive and the fighting lends to being aggressive and fast

I thought you need ps plus to play games online tho ? Isn’t it you need ps plus to play anything online. I usually just get the yearly sub for like $30 a year from CDkeys

The slime concept they're doing seems to be a significant change to the game that probably would have been odd to implement to an already established game, also the first game got so much negative feedback that I don't even mind them dropping a completely new one just to get a new start to the series lol

The team's original platform fighter, "Slap City" is actually very beloved, so they're definitely capable of making a good game, I think they just need the time and funding. I'm honestly iffy on them releasing it so soon though
