Yeah that criticism doesn’t really hold weight toward Nicki she gives a good amount of introspection and actual bars outside that. She talks “rap s***” a lot more than most of her successors
The real criticism of Nicki in the big picture is how her music is too pop and she doesn’t have enough actual core hip hop records. The lady Gaga influence worked for the moment but it kind of sent her into this weird place where she never made true hip hop music it’s always this electro pop thing with raps on it
Idk, my gripe with her was her lack of output, I guess I agree but I think she has rapped before and she's stolen shows on features but there is no way we had to wait so long for another album (which was ok), she was coasting on an entire bygone era and another issue was her attitude towards newer girls like she wasn't in the comfortable position of young money coming up.

Nicki probably regrets not putting an album out in 2016. Might be one of her biggest regrets musically. she got too comfortable imo and didn't expect hate train to happen. She's honestly kinda lazy. There still isn't even a new music video for PF2.
But the attitude toward new girls thing is not true and is very unfair. No one else is held to this standard of having to work with everyone and give out free feats.
But also even before Cardi came along she was uplifting and supportive new female rappers such as young ma, dej loaf, dreezy etc. She even took one of em on tour.
