Ross stood up for Wayne because he's an opportunist. He did it for clout and to promote his wack ass song. He did a similar thing to Drake and used French Montana as an excuse.
Jay is also an opportunist. Whenever an artist is having trouble with their labels, Jay and Roc Nation swoops in to "save them".
Why? because it's easy to feel indebted to someone after they help you.
It's actually a good business move by Jay-Z. But it feels snakish.
Wouldn't be the first time something felt snakish when it comes to Jay-Z's actions.

Roc Nation preys on these situations. You know what happened after that?
Wayne inked a deal with Tidal to share his FWA album as well as perform an exclusive show.
It was a purely business move by Jay. It would've meant more if he asked nothing in return.
On one hand, I'm glad he helped Wayne out but he snaked Birdman in the process.
Now it looks like he helped Kendrick and snaked Lil Wayne
I always gave Jay the benefit of the doubt but now I'm going to take a closer look at his actions and be more critical.
