Crazy that he is still living off “Drive”’s success, without it no one would care

Every NWR fan should watch this 8 part interview series, it has English subtitles.

It was made just before Valhalla rising and Bronson
When he was considered a flop and failure in Denmark after having his break thru with “Pusher” but having his follow up movies flop.

NWR breaks down crying during it, talks about how he hate the men from his fathers generation and his father, and how he point an air gun at his stepmothers head as a child while she was asleep.

You will not find a better NWR interview anywhere

what do you consider success, I don’t even know that drive is his most influential work on film makers, of course it’s the most finically successful

    I get what you say.

Personally I feel that beside “Pusher 1,2,3” “Bleeder” and “Drive” his other films have not captivated me.

I kinda feels like the success of “Drive” has corrupted him, just like the success of “Pusher” did.

But I still really like NWR, and look forward to his movies and I am gonna revisit some of his movies after “Drive” soon.

    What are your favs?
I also recommend watching the 8 part interview I posted

    Also..

I feel that “Drive” was a really really good movie on so many parameters.

The story was entertaining, the camera work was great, and the music was exceptional good.

Honestly the reason I feel like he’s pretty damn effective as an auteur is almost all of his works have the ability 2 grow on you my initial watch of Valhalla Rising i was like hmm this is cool, second one hit like crack, almost all of his works have that potential, my opinion on him wasn’t terribly far from yours before revisiting pusher series it just made me appreciate what he’s capable of & where he’s decided to go also I adore Copenhagen Cowboy lol

    It’s a must watch bro… you’re missing mad s*** off his catalogue.

Show stuck with me for months after I finished it. Kinda haunting. Brutal s***.
