You can't say he sets himself up for it because it extends beyond Rihanna. It covers anything Drake does. Him and Rihanna are obviously cool and have been cool for a while now. She attended two parties he threw around his birthday. Before that, when Jay Z threw his Gold party, both him and Rihanna attended and reports came out that they ran into each other and they spoke together for a bit and were cool so they obviously don't have any issues with each other.
People are just obsessed with the narrative that he's this sad, lonely sucker thirsting after her and she keeps curving him and turning him down when that isn't the truth.
