Nietzsche philosophy is the opposite of nihilism. The main goal of Nietzshe was to fight european nihilism by encouraging people to create new values to replace the older ones who were too life-negating.

By Nihilism people mean any philosophy that denies the existence of an objective truth, Morality or meaning of life. People developed nihilistic ideas since antiquity; Gorgias for example is seen by many as one of the first known nihilist in the western world.

Nihilism doesn't prevent you from conjuring up your own meaning for life it just states that it's arbitrary. Everything matters to you but nothing really matters in the scheme of reality.

Therefore whatever thesis you cook up for the meaning of life isn't true it's just true to you.
