Nintendo can’t do anything, emulators are totally legal.

Where do you recommend I get the actual roms?

If you didn't get the answers you want googling " reddit where to get roms" should lead you to a link with a big guide hosted on Google drive

You're welcome everyone. Literally days after I shelled out $300 for an A***ogue Pocket

If you're buying an a***ogue pocket it's 75% for your physical collection anyways, would be the worst thing to get for only roms due to the price imo

I don’t think they can remove the app from your iPhone though, right? Like even if they get it removed from the App Store

they can attack the developer who will stop supporting it at best or remove any piece out of it I think

but nintendo seems to be more worried about people making direct money off of roms or rom hacks at this moment based on the multiplayer zelda switch thing and the pokemon hacks recently

gold/silver was my fav as a kid so I’m having the time of life. Love the updated visuals and the mechanics from ruby/sapphire being added back into gen 2.

Really bummed that you can’t complete the Pokédex because the game requires trading, I always thought that was idiotic from a game design perspective

Yes, the only reason the switch emulator got in trouble and shut down was that they were giving out guides on their website on how to back door into your switch to grab the keys needed to be used on the emulator and Nintendo argued it was against their TOS and was illegal.

They didn’t wanna go through a lawsuit and spend millions to fight that so they had to shut it down and pay Nintendo a fine

But emulators in themselves are 100% completely legal

I was always under the impression that emulators and roms infringe on the IP of the companies that make the consoles/games so they're illegal Why emulation sites always been so hard to find and got shut down so many times then?

distributing roms is 100% illegal. sourcing them yourself by ripping them is not illegal. so they go after sites that distribute them
