Sounds like Nintendo
Make it as annoying as possible to get a hold of something that every other company is doing without issue in their own proprietary way
Yeah. I understand that they want to prioritise Nintendo Switch Online and maximise profits, but this is the wrong way to do it. Xbox doesn't care if their best exclusives, such as Witcher, Forza, and Halo, are on Spotify and Apple, and the same is true for Playstation and God of War, Uncharted, Bloodborne, Ratchet and Clank, and so on—Rockstar, Sega, Atlus, Blizzard, Epic, Bandai, Ubisoft, Konami, Atlus, SEnix, etc. It just seems so selfish to me; people on Reddit are defending this by saying "Spotify deserves nothing," but the problem is that it's inconvenient, even for Switch users, to listen to Nintendo licensed music exclusively on one app that doesn't even have a properly optimised library or system in place.

They bought activision blizzard king which basically saved the Xbox division. That’s pretty successful. Kinda

At the end of the day tbh, anyone who cares enough about Nintendo is going to have a NSO sub anyway and will just deal with having to use another app. Everyone else is either not going to care or just download from KHinsider/YT and upload locally to their streaming service
