There is a Smash direct in June, however. They already announced that unless plans changed. Arms character will get announced and released in June. Maybe they will also announce another character in that same presentation.

Seeing the progression of Splatoon 1 to 2 I know Mario Kart 9 will look so good with more power. Mario Kart 8 is a beautiful game too but if you pay attention you can see the shortcuts or tricks Nintendo takes with less power.
