launch schedule was leaked yesterday in the earnings call

basically after June 2020 the only games listed are Zelda botw 2, bayo 3 and Metroid prime 4

since it’s earnings for the next fiscal year I guess the dates planned sometime between now and March 2021

All I know is it means we’re getting a direct for botw 2 and bayo 3 soon because those are the next games listed after June 2020

If I had to guess... maybe release date reveals and trailers announcing bayonetta in October and Zelda in November

And if we get Metroid prime 4 by March 2021, that’s pretty ahead of schedule tbh I was expecting it much later. Development must have gone really well last year

there's a new anime series in US/UK
there's always another Pokemon game coming

a 30 minute Pokemon Direct wouldn't hurt

The dlc is spread out over 2020, so they won’t want to overshadow it with a full direct showcasing other pokemon stuff

Botw 2 makes sense as the next big direct because they’ll want to compete with the hype for the new Sony and Microsoft consoles. Botw 2 is the heavy hitter, and it looks like the story is gonna be dark and crazy. It’s definitely their showstopper for 2020

i can agree here actually, not a Pokemon Direct incoming but for sure a Pokemon marketing campaign is on the horizon

key point to remember: Nintendo fiscal year just started, and it ends March 31st 2021 (their fiscal year starts 3 months after the calendar year)

with that said, Animal Crossing was their last release of the last fiscal year and since then we've started a new one which is (so far) very slow to start
