Damn even Nintendo knows no one gives af bout Paper Mario anymore after they burned the series’ goodwill with the last 2-3 games
What do you mean?
Are you talking about not announcing it in a direct?
I think this will just be their future during Corona.
Even BOTW2 if it gets a trailer this summer would just drop randomly.
Wait, part of Paper Mario isn’t fully 3D. Even when side scrolling in Paper Mario 64, it was still like “3D view” being face level with Mario.
There’s some scenes where it’s almost looking top down like the 3DS Pokémon games.
Why does Paper Mario like to take steps backwards all the time?
It still looks really fun, don’t get me wrong but they could top the original if they tried harder.

why do u and others have high expectations for spin-off games

You're not wrong but DAMN that first Paper Mario is an all-timer for me. Probably in my top 5 games
You can’t even tell what the battle system is like in the trailer, what am I missing?
Rumors all said this Paper Mario would be a return to form which I assume would imply the Battle System is larsgelt back to normal.
Edit: GameExplain uploaded a battle system video and lets just say..... it could be good or could be bad. I’ll have to wait and see. Which the battle system was just like Paper Mario 64 though, that was a classic battle system.
i've seen some breakdowns since making that post and yeah there's not enough known info to determine how good its going to be right now
could end up being more complex than the 2 turn based rpg games
July: paper Mario

why do u and others have high expectations for spin-off games
Is it truly a spin-off if it’s better than the original
I have always enjoyed Paper Mario more than 2D Mario and Paper Mario has 3 great games to start off it’s series. I just want it to get back on track after two bad games.
I own Sticker Star, bought it upon release, because I love Paper Mario but I couldn’t even get myself to finish that game it was so bad.
Paper Mario combat seems to be time based
I hate time based battles
ya me too bliss but considering its paper mario and their audience is basically young kid now i think its going to be a really generous timer (from the trailer 20seconds for a single move seems like alot)

BOTW2 in March marking 4th anniversary and the last game of this current fiscal year and also the start of the Switch's second half of life
Pokemon DLC coming in early June (summer island holiday) and month 6 and early December (winter tundra holiday) month 12, covering the whole year
Smash might have been delayed but who knows? we were told June though
All-Stars 2 hasn't actually been confirmed but neither was Paper Mario right?
I do expect BD2 and NMH3 to drop this year and Platinum has teased over and over that they have more coming so most likely Bayo3
yeah if you mean the announcement trailers
nintendo put out like 1 game this year
the fiscal year just started April 1st though? and it was ended with Pokemon MD and Animal Crossing
April being the only actual dead month so far - but with really sweet ports and Xenoblade DE and Paper Mario coming up soon
i wish we could get
Final Fantasy XV
Kingdom Hearts 3
Persona 5
Monster Hunter World
Yokai Watch 4
ported to Switch/NA but it's probably been too long now to even bother hoping
Is it truly a spin-off if it’s better than the original

it's your opinion that Paper Mario is better than NSMBUD or whatever else is being compared
but i cant really agree lol it's totally a spin off series and i expect totally new mechanics with every new game
Just copped a 400GB SD Card, s*** bout to get real and I want to be prepared.
Was thinking bout the 512GB but wasn’t willing to pay $40 bucks more for it.
i wish we could get

3 of those are impossible to port over

we’ve already gotten announcement trailers for almost all of those games but good joke
most years the biggest releases come sept-dec
super Mario odyssey, super smash bro’s and Pokémon each came out towards the end of 2017, 2018 and 2019 respectively
