Ghirahim's boss fights are among the best of the series and he has waaaay more personality than zant has ever had. There's a reason to why he's so loved by zelda fans

His boss battles weren’t that great and they just reused Ganon’s mechanics but gave them to Ghirahim

Zant had more personality to me and was creepy as f*** as a kid playing through the game, not gonna lie I haven't played Skyward Sword as it needed Motion Plus. I saw the Ghirahim fights and it's just a sword fight which is cool but isn't best of the series worthy.

Randomly came across this old announcement video for Nintendo's E3 digital event 2015 Would be dope if they brought back these kinds of skits. They had some really fun things.

Thats cool, im not so critical of tp to label it a ok game but i see where you're coming from, i think the reason people think of it as a "traditional" zelda is because it follows oot steps rather than trying to bring something new like ww and majora's mask did

He's loved because he's a cool character. Even if he's become a meme that doesnt make it a bad character lol. Also his boss battles are great because they make full use of motion controls and if you never had any major issues with them like in my case you end up loving these fights as they're basically skill based. I dont know which ganon battle you're talking about (im guessing tp ganon) but that didnt rely as much on a key gameplay feature and the motion control on tp worked differently so i dont think that's the case. You could make a case demise's Battle plays similar to ghirahim's but i would say that puts more of a stain to demise's battle rather than ghirahim's as it comes after.

I'll praise zant's backstory as i find it really intriguing but he comes off to me as your text book crazy character whereas ghirahim has more charme and actually feels more threatening. I have to admit zant boss fight was goofy at times but that might be just me

Miss the iwata and reggie era of directs they were so fun to watch

If they find a way to fix the issues with the controls you should definitely at least try it, underappreciated game imo
