Nintendo consoles are for Nintendo games

how many third party releases gotta flop, fail, be cloud only or come out 3 years later before people realize Nintendo jumped the gun and proper handheld support for 3rd party AAA games is still in the future?

I think trying to port games from modern consoles is the problem forcing them to work on weaker hardware. In cases like the new monster Hunter coming up it’s a game made specifically for switch. That’s the type of 3rd party support I want

exactly. since no one knew or expected switch to be the hit it is they never prepared for it. plus Nintendo past 3rd party support hasn't been great either.
so a bunch of downgraded ports that were never made for the system aren't the true reflection of the console. plus there's a bunch of ports I do like and have bought so I'm good.

i had a few too like DQ XI S and its so amazing having handheld the option

but its so rare to get a good 3rd party non-exclusive port that majority of ppl can enjoy entirely

too bad they just couldn't get doom eternal right. kinda proves your point though. they tried to release it alongside but the constraints are becoming too much for modern games

Assassins Creed, Jedi Fallen Order and Control were capped at 30fps on PS4 Pro and people want those to also run at 30fps on a handheld device that came out in 2017

you would think this was a Switch hate thread by this reaction, y'all must be the same people that were against the Witcher 3 port, it's a technical feat regardless of what it looks like compared to other consoles, nobody buys a Switch for the graphics
