wym its not that deep?
if it wasnt that deep then move tf on you crybabies trying to boycott one of the world's largest corporations look like complete children and yet you wannna tell people who are telling you to stop crying that its not that deep?
lmao uve NEVER had an opinion worth reading but ok
People want to play Melee together. Locals aren’t really a thing right now due to the pandemic. And well being a nearly 20 year old game, it doesn’t have online functionality. However, through legal methods, it is possible to play the game online safely from the comfort of ones home, without having to worry about catching the virus.
Nintendo has every right and authority to say no, simply because it’s there property, I don’t think anyone is denying that. The problem that people have with it is the morality and logic behind Nintendo’s decision. Do they lose any Melee copies? No, they don’t sell the game anymore. Does this hurt Ultimate’s sales? No, that’s the hot and new thing, with plenty more characters approaching. It’s not even like Nintendo doesn’t like reflecting on the past either, as we wouldn’t always get remasters, previous gens controllers, or the virtual console (which isn’t a thing right now I know)
Sending death threats and all that other nonsense at Nintendo? No, that’s a bunch of wack stuff, but on the flipside, getting legitimately angry at others because they said #free melee? There’s no place for that either
People can want change, I don’t see how having a hashtag for something people are passionate about is childish. Acting immature and being rude to others about it though, yeah

Stop being a Nintendo bootlicker
Nintendo doesn’t care about you
Looks like I can’t ever replay my favorite game of all time Uncharted 2 because it’s 11 years old now haha haha
Logic!
Let people play their favorite videogames no matter how old they are.
Getting salty about people playing their favorite games is a new low
record companies can go f*** themselves because streamers use popular music in their content?
yeah you need a ban
also this is a music website 😂 imagine not valuing music property or gaming property and then crying on a music forum's gaming section HAHAHAHAHAHAH
The fact that record labels don’t see their artists music being played by twitch streamers as free advertising is wild to me. It’s free streams which equals more money and it’s free advertisement to everyone watching the stream which could lead to more to more popularity/revenue by the audience going to check out the songs on their own.
DMCA takedowns because of music should not happen on Twitch and you can’t change my mind. Just feels like greed from record labels.
And I wouldn’t call it content. Most streamers that listen to songs are stream are just vibing to Spotify in their bedroom.
Tbh tho how many games you playing on your TV w/ this console ?
All of them, I play 99% of the time in docked mode
Nintendo takes down a channel with their music on it. Music you can’t listen to on Spotify, music they don’t sell to you, music you can’t legally listen to anywhere on the internet.
How is that not scummy? If Nintendo had their own music channel or music on Spotify then I would understand it.
And normally something like Might slide through the cracks but because it came after #FreeMelee #SaveSmash #SaveSplatoon, and the Etika joycons it just makes it look way more awful.

every single one of them, i've played handheld less than 2 hours and i've had my switch since 2017.
Cause you bought a Lite and not a Switch that doesn't Switch
I switched that Switch into something $100 cheaper.
Stop being a Nintendo bootlicker
Nintendo doesn’t care about you
ya but i love Zelda and Mario so...

its not scummy because the people who uploaded it dont have the right to do so regardless of your personal beliefs about it all
it's illegal
343 and Bungie were removing tons of Halo content videos that were monetizing off Chief's likeness through puppeteering with an action figure and im pretty sure Disney/Marvel has done the same
maybe Nintendo doesnt intend for you to listen to the music they own outside of a game and if they did theyd sell/stream OSTs like other companies

can we just agree that Nintendo has the right to burn and delete all of the content they ever made if they feel like it?
point being, its their content
if they believe Melee online is bad for whatever reason, welp..
holding corporation morally responsible doesnt work unless at least 1/3 or 1/2 of their sales are boycotted
thats not gonna happen tho and this is why taking an L seems to be impossible for people obsessed with competing online in a 20 year old game that never had that function lol
i can see both sides and one makes more sense...
the etika joycons are even worse
someone out there is profiting from etika's name and brand name and thus his death, but also profiting from selling unlicensed moulds for a device they didnt make? foolish
the guy "Alex" was gonna donate 10k to charity and many people have speculated that not only is it still wrong to sell them, he's got his own undisclosed profits from the sales

also take in u said its not that deep
but then u showed how deep it is
I’m with @isellpixels on this. It’s Nintendo’s property at the end of the day and they have the right to take action when they feel it’s being misused in whichever way they see fit.

Agree to disagree then. But attacking people won’t get either side anywhere is what I’m saying
